I had a mostly enjoyable stay at Plaza Caldas Da Imperatriz Resort & Spa. The pools, fed by natural hot springs, were a real treat, but I found some aspects of the dining to be on the pricy side. The room I received was excellent and well-located, yet I was disappointed that my wife couldn't fully enjoy the menu due to her dietary restrictions. Traffic getting to the resort can be a hassle, so I suggest considering a rental car for exploring nearby beaches if you're staying more than a few days.
